Dr. Ray Liu
The man himself! Dr. Liu graduated with top honors from National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan. He later moved to the United States and graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Science in Endocrinology He finished his clinical studies at the University of Missouri.
From the young age of six Dr. Liu always knew he wanted to be a veterinarian. After dealing with the death of his own pet at such a young age, Dr. Liu was set on his ways of becoming a veterinarian and helping animals everywhere. Establishing Carmel Valley Pet Clinic back in 1992, Dr. Liu has helped hundreds of pets to live a happier life.
On his spare time, Dr. Liu can be found playing tennis and traveling with his family. One of his many passions is to learn and experience other cultures.
Kim
Kim has been greeting clients and their pets with a smile at Carmel Valley Pet Clinic since summer of 2007. She recently graduated from UCSD with high honors with a degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. She plans on continuing her education and going to graduate school to obtain her DVM and open her own private veterinary practice!
Animals and their well being have always been Kim's passion. Her pet family proves it! She has two dogs, a bull terrier and a miniature pincher, a cat, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, a turtle, 5 rats, a tarantula and birds! In her spare time you can find Kim enjoying the outdoors, snowboarding, and skeet shooting.
Serena
Serena is one of our most valuable team members and has been working full time at Carmel Valley Pet Clinic since September 2007. Serena is a big time animal lover having been around animals her entire life. Serena's favorite childhood experience would have to be riding an elephant, that is when she realized she wanted to work with animals . Her first experience working with animals was at Helen Woodward Animal Center, where she found her true passion for helping animals and their families.
Serena's animal family consists of 2 cats, Baby and Oliver (who were rescued street cats), a huge French Mastiff named Murphy and a French Mastiff puppy named Isabella. Serena attends Mesa college to study Animal Health.
Justine
Justine has been a employee here at Carmel Valley Pet Clinic since March of this year. She comes here from Helen Woodward Animal Center. Justine is a student at UCSD majoring in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience, and she plans to move on to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Justine is a proud mother of a cat, two Pomeranians and a hamster. The well being and health of animals is her #1 priority. In her spare time Justine can be found shopping and relaxing.
Ingrid
Ingrid is our high school student volunteer. She is a senior at Torrey Pines High School. She's originally from Argentina, she spent some time living in Denmark and now lives here in California. She hopes to go to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She shows a strong passion for helping animals.
